Key highlights:
- We do not and will never sell your personal data to any third parties.
- All posts are public and viewable and searchable by anyone around the world.
- User profile information is public and can be viewed by anyone (exceptions are Date of Birth and Gender, see below).

The information we collect
Basic Account Information
When registering for a new account, you provide us with some personal information. Of these, the following are not public and are used only for understanding the demographic profiles / trends of our users:
- Date of Birth
- Gender
All other details are public and can be viewed by anyone on the user profile screen.
Posts / Messages
All content submitted by you may be retained by us indefinitely, even after you terminate your account.
Location Information
You may opt-in to attach your location to the posts you create. This option can be modified from the Settings screen.
Log Data
Whenever you sign-in to the application, the following details are recorded:
- IP address.
- Session start / end times.
- Device information including the OS and OS version.
This information is stored for 12 months for security reasons.
Account Data Deletion
Your Right to Delete Your Account
You have the right to request the deletion of your Final Equation account and associated personal data at any time, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other applicable data protection laws.
How to Request Account Deletion
To delete your account, visit our Account Deletion page and enter the email address associated with your account. You will receive a confirmation email with a secure link to verify your request. The confirmation link is valid for 24 hours.
What Happens When You Delete Your Account
Upon confirmation of your deletion request, the following data will be permanently removed:
- Your profile information (username, email address, display name)
- Your mathematical proofs and work
- Your progress, achievements, and learning history
- Your messages and social connections (followers/following)
- Your device tokens and session data
This action is permanent and cannot be undone.
Data We May Retain
In limited circumstances, we may retain certain information as required by law or for legitimate business purposes:
- Audit logs: Anonymized records of the deletion request (hashed email, timestamp) may be retained for up to 12 months for security and fraud prevention purposes.
- Legal obligations: Data required to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce agreements may be retained as permitted by applicable law.
- Aggregated data: Non-personally identifiable, aggregated statistical data may be retained.
